Meine weiteren Forschungsinteressen umfassen Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs), Differential Privacy, generative Modelle und angewandte Kryptografie.\nIch habe 2025 an der UNSW Sydney und CSIRO\u0026rsquo;s Data61 promoviert, unterstützt durch die kompetitiven Stipendien CSCRC und UIPA. Meine Dissertation befasste sich mit der Privatsphäre von Standorttrajektorien unter Verwendung von Differential Privacy und generativen Modellen. Diese Arbeit identifizierte Schwachstellen bestehender Datenschutzmechanismen, schlug einen neuartigen Rekonstruktionsangriff vor und untersuchte die Generierung synthetischer Daten als datenschutzfreundliche Lösung. Meine Forschung wurde mit dem Best Paper Award auf der PST’24 ausgezeichnet und bei Konferenzen wie PETS, ACSAC und AsiaCCS veröffentlicht.\nIch engagiere mich stark für offene Forschung, weswegen der Code zu all meinen Publikationen auf GitHub verfügbar ist, um Reproduzierbarkeit sicherzustellen und zukünftige Forschung zu unterstützen. Um sicherzustellen, dass meine Forschung zu greifbaren Ergebnissen führt, bringe ich mich in das Digital Futures Forum der Australian Academy of Technological Sciences \u0026amp; Engineering ein. Bisher habe ich über 20 Studierende bei Abschlussarbeiten, Capstone-Projekten und Praktika betreut, wobei zwei Projekte zu Einreichungen bei internationalen Konferenzen führten. Ich war Mitglied im Student Advisory Board des AGSE Industry PhD Programms, Systemadministrator der Forschungsgruppe Information Security and Privacy (ISPri) und wurde 2025 als einer von Australiens Top100 Future Leaders ausgezeichnet. In Anerkennung meiner Beiträge zum Gemeinwohl, einschließlich Mentoring und ehrenamtlicher Arbeit, wurde mir der Arc PGC Faculty of Engineering Research Candidate Award verliehen.\nMir ist es wichtig, meine Forschung sowohl mit der wissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaft als auch mit der Öffentlichkeit zu teilen. Ich habe mehr als 15 Vorträge und Posterpräsentationen gehalten und dabei den AGSE 3MT People’s Choice Award sowie den SecEdu Best Poster Award erhalten. Diese Aktivitäten helfen, die Lücke zwischen Forschung und Praxis zu überbrücken, und ich freue mich über weitere Möglichkeiten zur Zusammenarbeit und für Vorträge.\nVor meiner Promotion habe ich meinen Bachelor- und Masterabschluss mit Auszeichnung an der RWTH Aachen erworben. Meine Masterarbeit zum datenschutzfreundlichen Austausch von Prozessparametern wurde auf der ACSAC20 veröffentlicht und sowohl mit dem Vöcking Master Award als auch mit dem FOLKS Best Master’s Thesis Award im Jahr 2020 ausgezeichnet. Während meines Studiums gehörte ich konstant zu den besten 5 % der Studierenden, stand auf der Dean’s List und wurde durch den Deutschen Bildungsfonds gefördert.\nAbseits der Wissenschaft interessiere ich mich leidenschaftlich für Fitness und Ernährung, mit einem Fokus auf wettkampforientiertem CrossFit und Ausdauerlauf, darunter Marathons und Halbmarathons. My research interests include privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), differential privacy, generative models, and applied cryptography. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cybersecurity at UNSW Sydney (ISPri research group) and GuardWare Australia, where my research focused on encrypting unstructured data in the defence supply chain.\nI completed my PhD at UNSW Sydney and CSIRO\u0026rsquo;s Data61 in 2025, supported by the competitive CSCRC and UIPA scholarships. My PhD focused on the privacy of location trajectories using differential privacy and generative models. This thesis identified shortcomings of existing privacy mechanisms, proposed a novel reconstruction attack, and explored synthetic data generation as a privacy-preserving solution. My research was recognised with the Best Paper Award at PST’24 and publications at venues such as PETS, ACSAC, and AsiaCCS.\nI am strongly committed to open science, and the code for all my publications is available on GitHub to ensure reproducibility and support future research. To ensure that my research leads to tangible impact, I am contributing to the Digital Futures Forum of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences \u0026amp; Engineering. Moreover, I supervised over 20 students on theses, capstone projects, and internships, with two projects leading to international conference submissions. I served on the student advisory board for the AGSE Industry PhD program, acted as system administrator for the Information Security and Privacy (ISPri) research group, and was recognised as one of Australia’s Top100 Future Leaders in 2025. In recognition of my contributions to community wellbeing, including mentoring and volunteering, I was awarded the Arc PGC Faculty of Engineering Research Candidate Award.\nI value opportunities to share my research with both the academic community and the public. I have delivered more than 15 oral and poster presentations, receiving the AGSE 3MT People’s Choice Award and the SecEdu Best Poster Award.
